100 Supervised Procedure Practicum

 

The Laser Hair Removal Level III – Senior Technician Practicum is the third step in the Texas laser hair removal licensing pathway and is designed for students who have completed Levels I and II and obtained their current TDLR Laser Hair Removal Technician license.

 

Level III shifts the focus from performing treatments as an Apprentice to developing the skills required to directly supervise laser hair removal procedures. Texas requires a licensed LHR Technician to directly supervise at least 100 laser hair removal procedures within 12 months, with those procedures audited by a licensed Laser Hair Removal Professional, before applying to upgrade to Senior Technician.

 

This is an in-person practical training session in which students observe treatment scenarios from a supervisory perspective, participate in client and treatment assessments, review treatment decisions, identify safety considerations, and ask additional questions while completing the required Level III procedures.

 

Models and treatment areas are based on availability and treatment eligibility. Specific model characteristics, demographics, skin types, hair types, or treatment areas cannot be guaranteed.

Course Structure

In-Person | 100 Supervised LHR Procedures

 

Level III is an in-person supervisory practicum completed while Level II Apprentice students perform their required laser hair removal procedures (1 half-day). The Senior-in-Training directly supervises the procedures while a licensed Laser Hair Removal Professional audits the training.

 

Because Level III requires active Level II students to supervise, training dates are based on Level II Practicum enrollment and availability and are not guaranteed on every scheduled laser training date.
