100 Treatment Practicum 

 

The Laser Hair Removal Level II – 100 Treatment Practicum is the second step in the Texas laser hair removal licensing pathway and is designed for students who have completed Level I and obtained their TDLR Laser Hair Removal Apprentice-in-Training license.

 

This is an in-person practical training course focused on developing hands-on experience performing laser hair removal treatments under direct supervision. Students complete the required laser hair removal procedures while practicing patient consultation, skin typing, treatment preparation, treatment parameters, laser safety, treatment technique, documentation, and pre- and post-treatment care on multiple areas of the body, working with live models.

 

Level II training is approximately a half-day in person and is limited to a maximum of 4 students per session to allow for supervised practical experience.

 

Students may schedule Level II separately or, when space is available, may have the opportunity to complete Level II the same afternoon as their Level I training. Same-day placement is not guaranteed and must be confirmed in advance.

Course Structure

In-Person | Supervised 100 Treatment Practicum

 

Level II is an in-person practical training course focused on applying the knowledge and safety principles learned during Level I while completing the required supervised laser hair removal procedures.

 

Before attending the scheduled training, students will find the Level II Protocols attached within the course portal. These materials should be reviewed prior to class and are designed to help students prepare for the consultation and treatment process.

 

Live Model Training

Students typically work with 2–4 live models during Level II training. Models coordinated by La Vida are scheduled based on availability and treatment eligibility; specific model characteristics or treatment areas cannot be guaranteed or selected.

Students with specific model preferences or restrictions may bring their own models. All models must be appropriate candidates for treatment and are required to pay a $30 model scheduling fee.
