Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliation treatment that uses a sterile surgical blade to gently remove accumulated dead skin cells from the outermost layer of the skin along with fine vellus hair, commonly known as peach fuzz.

Course Structure

Hybrid | Self-Paced Online Theory + 1-Day In-Person Hands-On Training

This course combines online education with one day of in-person clinical training. Students must complete the required online theory before attending their scheduled hands-on training day.

Online Portion:
Students complete the course theory through the LVLAI student portal at their own pace. Online access is available for 12 months and includes video lessons, downloadable course materials, and knowledge assessments.

1-Day In-Person Training:
The training day begins with a review of key concepts and an instructor demonstration, followed by supervised hands-on practice. Each student will perform a complete full-face dermaplaning treatment on their own live model while practicing consultation, skin assessment, preparation, blade handling, treatment technique, and post-care.

Rescheduling of the in-person training date may incur additional fees.

Dermaplaning Specialist Certification

Students receive a La Vida Laser & Aesthetics Institute certificate upon successful completion of the required online education and in-person hands-on training.
